Faithful+Gould was commissioned to deliver project management, cost management and health & safety services for this £12m BREEAM ‘Very Good’ rated new build Science Centre.

The building contains over 4,000m2 of useable floor area spread over three floors and was created with flexibility of use, low energy usage and the user experience at the heart of its design.

The Science Centre has been designed to accommodate a wide variety of SME business needs in the Science and Technology industries and therefore contains workshops, laboratories, offices, formal meeting rooms, informal meeting areas / facilities and a café area for tenants and their visitors to use.

Car parking has been provided for tenants as well as charging points for electric vehicles and a large bicycle store and associated changing facilities.

The project has been very successful in raising the profile and identity of the University of Wolverhampton’s Science Park (UWSP) both nationally and internationally. It’s brought the Science Park together providing a campus feel to the site which promotes interaction and the sharing of ideas between tenants.

The new building also provides the UWSP with space that currently doesn’t exist anywhere on either the Science Park or in the local region.
